Memorial to Thomas Townsend: A.D.S., London, 1783 January 30.

Memorial 30 January 1783, London, to Thomas Townsend, one of his majesty's Principal Secretaries of State; "Your memorialized therefore prays in behalf of himself and officers (most of whom are Americans who have sacrificed their property by joining the Kings army) that you will be pleased to take his, and their case into your consideration, and he has the greatest confidence from the justness of his claim, ...and that an adequate provision, by some appointment, or other reward may be made for his losses,..."
